Building dreams with Maize Bran and umino loans IN SINDA DISTRICT

From small beginnings to big impactStellia Miti

My name is Stellia Miti, and I run a maize bran (Gaga) business in Sinda District. I started this venture after seeing how difficult it was for farmers with livestock to access maize bran. Determined to fill that gap, I began ordering and supplying it — but at first, transportation was a challenge because I didn’t have enough funds.

In 2021, I learned about UMINO and applied for a loan. Within just two working days, I received K6,500. That loan transformed my business. Today, I’ve been upgraded to K20,000, thanks to Umino’s affordable interest rates designed to support entrepreneurs like me.

Since then, my business has grown every single day. I’ve been able to:

  • 🏠 Build two houses
  • 🚴🏾‍♂️ Purchase three motorbikes that are creating jobs in my community
  • 🌍 Expand services beyond Eastern Province

I’m proud that my maize bran business has not only brought financial stability to my life but also created opportunities for others.

Looking ahead, my next goal is to open my own hammer mill business 🍲 to expand even further. With UMINO by my side, I know the future is bright.

To other entrepreneurs: believe in your idea, seek support when you have clear plans, and take calculated steps forward. Umino helped me turn challenges into growth and they can help you too!
